Architect A. Schmeling. Former contractor J. Virsa's house (he also owned house No. 62). In the early 20th century, Mārtiņš Buclers factory for photographic equipment operated here. From 1923 to 1936, the Latvian Horse Sports Association was located here (founded in 1925). From 1910 to 1939, the pharmacy of the provisor Herbert Bušs operated in the building (formerly the "Koenigstedter pharmacy", founded in 1570 as the "Elephant pharmacy" or "Little pharmacy"; it is considered the second oldest pharmacy in Riga). In the 1920s and 1930s, the hair salon of Osvalds Maldons, later Erik Vakerman, Martha Venter, later Alīda Riekstiņa's cosmetic cabinet, and several shops were located in the building, including E. Šneider's popular currency and stamp shop among collectors, F. Arājs' flower and seed store, Benjamin Morozov's jewelry store and workshop, Emīlija Viķele's delicatessen store, and Veronika Ābelīte's bakery. During the German occupation in World War II, the building housed the headquarters of the Latvian youth organization. In the summer of 1945, the headquarters of the Baltic Military District took over the building, and it became the residence of Red Army officers and their families.
