Majori Manor's lord's house was built around 1910 as a summer residence and hunting lodge according to the architect V. Bokslafs' project. The owners of Majori Manor from the 16th century were from the Kurzeme manor Firks family, who stayed at the manor during summers, overseen by a steward. The Nurmuiža estate in Kurzeme also belonged to the Firks family, as well as land properties in the present-day Jūrmala in Majori, Melluži, and Asari. After the agrarian reform of 1920, the manor became state property. Since 1924, the building has housed an orphanage, currently managed by the Child Welfare Center.

The interior retains many Art Nouveau-inspired details, such as wooden stairs with turned balusters and woodcarving columns, a fireplace with a mirror, metal fittings on doors, etc.
